Free Bike Tour July 28 2013

Hi Guys,

Thanks to everybody who came to ride yesterday. One more time it was a pretty mixed group of people from all around the world : 11 traverers from France, England, Australia, Sweden, Germany, Canada, Philippines, Mexico, and the US.

After meeting in the Ferry Building we started by heading towards the Golden Gate Bridge.
Our first stop was in Pier 39 where we could clearly see one of the worlds most famous prison (Alcatraz) and the lazy sea lyons.
After a few photos we went past fisherman's wharf until the top of fort mason, the first and easiest out of the three hills on the route.
We kept riding next to the shore past marina until we got to the number one location for wedding photography, the beautiful Palace of Fine Arts.
We continued along Crissy Fields until we arrived to the second hardest hill of the route to get to the Golden Gate Bridge. After resting for a few minutes and taking some photos we continued our way along the coast and got to one of my favorite parts of the bike tour, the long downhill ride into Baker Beach.
We then took on the toughest part of the tour, the toughest and longest hill that took us to the Legion Of Honor.
Tired but with the feeling of accomplishment we took a break enjoying the incredible views of the city while having some drinks and snacks to recover our energy.
Once we recovered we got back on the bikes and rode to Ocean beach through the streets of Richmond. It was really windy and a bit cold so we kept going along and rode across the incredible Golden Gate Park until we arrived to the famous Haight district.

We rode through the wiggle to avoid all the hills and worked our way to the Dolores Park, the ending of our Bike tour. Picked up some pizza on the road, and enjoy the end of the day, resting in the park with live music !
